Does the Dream Machine Beast support High Availability?
Yes. The Dream Machine Beast supports Shadow Mode High Availability, which ensures uninterrupted connectivity by seamlessly transferring gateway and management functions to a secondary unit in the event of a primary unit failure.
It also includes DC power backup to maintain operation during power outages. A second Dream Machine Beast is required to enable Shadow Mode High Availability and a UniFi RPS is required for DC power backup.
Does the Dream Machine Beast support SD-WAN and VPNs?
Yes. The Dream Machine Beast supports Site Magic SD-WAN, as well as WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec, and Teleport Zero-Configuration VPN for secure remote access.

No. The Dream Machine Beast operates as an all-in-one UniFi Console, with the UniFi Network application running locally on the device. It cannot be managed by a CloudKey, Official UniFi Hosting or UniFi OS Server.
