How long does the battery last on the Motion Sensor?
Battery life depends on how many motion events the Motion Sensor detects. At an average of 10 events per day, the battery lasts up to 6 years.
What mounting orientations are supported by the Motion Sensor?
The Motion Sensor supports both vertical and horizontal mounting. For the detection range in each orientation, refer to the Installation Guide.
How does Pet Immunity work on the Motion Sensor?
When mounted vertically, the Motion Sensor will not detect animals under 0.5 m tall.
What does the function button on the Motion Sensor do?
The Motion Sensor normally operates in a low-power sleep mode. Pressing the function button temporarily wakes the sensor and forces it to synchronize with the SuperLink Gateway to confirm connectivity and status updates. When pressed, the sensor is also highlighted on the Devices page in UniFi Protect, making it easy to identify.
Can the battery in USL-Motion be replaced when it runs out?
Yes. The Motion Sensor uses a replaceable CR123A battery.
