UniFi G6 180 16MP 20 FPS PoE+ Camera

The G6 180 uses dual 1/1.8" 8 MP sensors that work together to produce a true 180° panoramic view, delivering wide, seamless coverage with noticeably higher detail than traditional single-sensor designs.

The G6 180 uses a calibrated stitching distance to align the dual 8 MP sensor outputs so objects crossing the center seam appear free of distortion. To further tune the stitching performance for a particular distance, adjust the Lens Fusion Offset in camera settings.

The ideal height is around 3–4 meters. Mounting the G6 180 at this elevation on a wall or other raised surface provides balanced outdoor visibility and maintains a clear, unobstructed 180° field of view.

The G6 180 is ideal when you need broad, continuous coverage, such as driveways, open yards, facades, or large monitoring areas, where one panoramic camera can replace multiple fixed-lens units.

The G6 180 supports ceiling, wall and pole mounting. A wedge mount is included for additional articulation and a pan adapter is included for adjusting the angle when installed on a ceiling.

The embedded heater in the G6 180, like in other UniFi Protect cameras, removes moisture during the initial setup after unboxing. This helps prevent condensation inside the device, ensuring clear image quality and reliable operation.

The heater automatically activates for the first six hours, which may cause the metal housing to feel warm during this period. This is typical and part of the device's design.

If water vapor is still present inside the lens bubble after the initial six hour heating cycle, perform a manual power cycle (restart the G6 180).

This reactivates the heater for another six hours to help further dissipate any remaining moisture.
