The UniFi 10G CWDM Single-Mode Optical Module is an SFP+ transceiver that carries a full 10 Gbps link up to 20 km over single-mode fibre. Choose from 12 CWDM wavelengths to run multiple independent 10G channels down one fibre pair.
Get more 10G out of the fibre you already have
Fibre is expensive to trench and slow to permit. The Ubiquiti UACC-OM-SFP10 lets you avoid both by using Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) — assigning each link its own wavelength so several 10 Gbps connections can share a single strand pair without interfering with each other.
Paired with a CWDM mux/demux, twelve of these modules can turn one fibre pair into twelve fully independent 10G links. That's the difference between a weekend of re-terminating and a same-day capacity upgrade.
Built for real distance
Each module delivers up to 10 Gbps over 20 km (65,617 ft) of single-mode fibre, using a standard duplex LC UPC connector. That's enough reach to link buildings across a campus, connect a branch site to head office, backhaul a tower, or tie a disaster-recovery facility into your core network — without an intermediate hop or an active repeater.
Twelve wavelengths, one part number
The UACC-OM-SFP10 is available in twelve CWDM channels spanning 1270 nm to 1590 nm. Modules operate in matched pairs — a 1470 nm transceiver at one end talks to a 1470 nm transceiver at the other. Plan your channel allocation once, and you have a clean, documented map of which service runs on which colour.
Efficient, quiet, and easy to live with
At just 1.2 W maximum power consumption, the module adds negligible load and heat to a densely populated switch. It operates across a 0 to 70° C ambient range and up to 85% non-condensing humidity, so it holds up in comms rooms that aren't perfectly climate-controlled.
Straight into your UniFi stack
Ubiquiti lists the UACC-OM-SFP10 as compatible with SFP+ and SFP interfaces (full 10 Gbps operation requires an SFP+ port). Drop it into a UniFi Pro or Enterprise switch, and link status, port speed, and topology appear where you already manage everything else — no separate optics management platform, no licensing.
Key features
- 10 Gbps maximum data rate — full-speed uplinks, aggregation, and inter-building trunks.
- Up to 20 km (65,617 ft) over single-mode fibre.
- CWDM technology — run multiple 10G channels over a single fibre pair.
- 12 wavelength options — 1270, 1290, 1310, 1330, 1450, 1470, 1490, 1510, 1530, 1550, 1570 and 1590 nm.
- SFP+ to duplex LC UPC connector.
- Operates in matched pairs — same wavelength at both ends of the link.
- 1.2 W max power draw — low heat in high-density switches.
- 0 to 70° C operating range, 0–85% non-condensing humidity.
- Native UniFi integration — monitored from the UniFi Network application.
Fibre patch cable is not included. Sold as a single unit — order two modules of the same wavelength to complete a link.
Who it's for
Multi-building campuses — Schools, hospitals, and corporate campuses that need several 10G services between buildings but have limited spare strands.
ISPs and WISPs — Fibre-constrained backhaul where leasing extra strands costs more than adding optics.
Data centre and DR interconnect — Separate production, replication, and out-of-band traffic onto their own wavelengths across a single dark-fibre pair.
Managed service providers — Deliver logically and physically separated 10G circuits to multiple tenants over shared infrastructure.
Network upgrades — Add 10G capacity to an existing fibre run without a new trench, new conduit, or new lease.
7. Wavelength selection guide
| Band | Available channels |
|---|---|
| O-band group | 1270 nm, 1290 nm, 1310 nm, 1330 nm |
| S/C/L-band group | 1450 nm, 1470 nm, 1490 nm, 1510 nm, 1530 nm, 1550 nm, 1570 nm, 1590 nm |
Three rules before you order:
- Buy in pairs. Both ends of a link need the same wavelength.
- Don't reuse a wavelength on the same fibre pair — each channel must be unique.
- Add a mux/demux if you're combining more than one wavelength onto a single pair.
