Building an access control system piece by piece means matching hubs to readers and readers to credentials, then hoping it all works with the same software. UniFi Access Starter Kits take the guesswork out. Each kit pairs a PoE-powered UniFi hub with the reader or intercom designed for it. One purchase moves a door, vehicle gate or lift from physical keys to managed, keyless entry. Everything runs in UniFi Access, Ubiquiti’s licence-free access control platform, alongside the rest of your UniFi system.

Find the Right Kit for Your Entrance

• G3 Starter Kit (UA-G3-SK): The simplest way to secure a single door. The compact Door Hub Mini powers a G3 Reader over PoE, handles up to 3,000 users and can drive a 12V lock directly. Two Pocket Keyfobs are included.
• G3 Starter Kit Pro (UA-G3-SK-Pro): Control and log both sides of a door. A full-size Door Hub runs a G3 Reader Pro alongside a standard G3 Reader. The Reader Pro adds a 4.7" touchscreen, built-in camera, PIN entry, face unlock and two-way intercom. Two Pocket Keyfobs are included.
• G3 Gate Starter Kit (UA-G3-SK-Gate): Run a vehicle gate and a pedestrian side door from one Gate Hub. It works with sliding, swing and boom gates as well as roller doors. The G3 Intercom adds a bright 7" touchscreen, two-way video intercom for visitors and an IP65-rated housing. The kit also includes a PoE++ adapter and 2-wire retrofit extenders for reusing existing cable runs to the gate.
• G3 Elevator Starter Kit (UA-G3-SK-Elevator): Decide which floors each person can reach in your lift. The Elevator Hub drives up to 18 floor relays and monitors car position, direction, door status and emergency inputs. It powers the in-car G3 Reader over PoE, with 2-wire PoE extenders included for the run to the lift car. Ten Access Cards come in the box.
• G2 Starter Kits and Gate Access Starter Kit (UA-G2-SK, UA-G2-SK-Pro, UA-SK-Gate): Previous-generation kits built on the same hubs, with NFC credentials and mobile unlock. The Pro and Gate versions add PIN entry and two-way intercom. Choose a G3 kit if you want Touch Pass.

More Ways In, Fewer Keys to Manage

Every kit supports NFC cards and keyfobs as well as mobile unlock. G3 kits add Touch Pass, which stores a digital badge in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. People tap an iPhone, Apple Watch or Android phone to get in, with no app to open, and by default the phone doesn’t even need to be unlocked. Pro readers and the G3 Intercom add PIN codes, face unlock and two-way intercom for visitors and deliveries. Pair a gate kit with a compatible UniFi Protect AI camera and registered vehicles can enter by number plate with License Plate Unlock. The standard G3 Reader even supports a touch-free hand wave to request exit.

One Cable to the Hub, Power for the Rest

Each hub runs on a single PoE++ connection and passes PoE on to its readers or intercom, so readers need no separate power supply. The door hubs can also power a 12V lock directly. Door and gate hubs mount on the included DIN rail, and readers fit a standard gang box. IP55-rated readers and an IP65 intercom are built for exterior doors and gate pedestals as well as interior offices. Every component is NDAA compliant, and the hubs, readers and intercoms in the door and gate kits are UL 294 certified.

Managed in UniFi Access, From One Door to Hundreds

UniFi Access runs on a UniFi console you may already own, including the Dream Machine Pro, Cloud Gateway Max, CloudKey+ and UniFi NVRs. From one dashboard you can add users, issue credentials, set who can go where and review access activity. You can do it on site or remotely through UniFi Site Manager and the UniFi mobile apps. Camera-equipped readers and intercoms can record to UniFi Protect. Most supported consoles manage up to 150 access hubs, so a starter kit is a first step rather than a ceiling.

Good to Know Before You Buy

• A UniFi console running UniFi Access is required and sold separately.
• Door and elevator kits need a PoE++ switch port or injector; gate kits include a PoE++ adapter.
• Locks are not included. Pair your kit with a UniFi Access magnetic or electric lock, or a compatible third-party lock.
• Gate kits connect to your existing gate operator, and License Plate Unlock requires a compatible UniFi Protect AI camera.
• G3 kits include 10 complimentary one-year Touch Passes; additional passes are purchased per user, per year, in UniFi Access.
