Fibre aggregation switches for a faster, more resilient network
Every network has a meeting point: the switch that gathers uplinks from your access switches, connects servers, NAS and storage, and passes traffic to your gateway. When that switch runs short of capacity, everything downstream slows with it. UniFi aggregation switches remove the squeeze with dense 10G, 25G and 100G fibre connectivity. Each uplink gets room to grow as faster WiFi, multi-gig access switches and high-resolution camera recording push more traffic through the rack.
Find the right aggregation switch
Aggregation (USW-Aggregation): Eight 10G SFP+ ports in a shallow 1U chassis. This Layer 2 switch is a cost-effective way to link a handful of 10G switches, a NAS or a high-performance workstation in small offices, studios and homelabs.
Hi-Capacity Aggregation (USW-Pro-Aggregation): 28 × 10G SFP+ and 4 × 25G SFP28 ports with 760 Gbps of switching capacity. Layer 3 inter-VLAN routing keeps local traffic off your gateway. Pro AV profiles for Dante, Q-SYS, NDI and more simplify AV-over-IP deployments.
Pro XG Aggregation (USW-Pro-XG-Aggregation): 32 × 25G SFP28 ports that also run at 10G and 1G, backed by 1.6 Tbps of switching capacity. It’s built for 25G links to servers, storage and access switches. It adds Layer 3 routing and Etherlighting™ illuminated ports that show link status at a glance.
Enterprise Campus Aggregation (ECS-Aggregation): 48 × 25G SFP28 and 6 × 100G QSFP28 ports with 1.8 Tbps of non-blocking throughput. MC-LAG pairs two switches so downstream devices can bond links across both and stay online if one fails. With dual hot-swappable power modules and five hot-swappable fans, it’s the choice for campuses, multi-building sites and data rooms where downtime isn’t an option.
Managed with the rest of your UniFi system
Every switch here is managed in the UniFi Network application alongside your gateway, access switches and WiFi. You set up networks and port profiles once and apply them across every switch. A built-in touchscreen shows status right at the rack. Resilience scales with your needs, from DC power backup on the Hi-Capacity and Pro XG models to fully redundant power and cooling on the Enterprise Campus Aggregation. Complete each link with UniFi 10G, 25G and 100G optical modules and direct attach cables (DACs).
How to choose an aggregation switch
Start with three questions:
- How many uplinks do you need to aggregate today, with headroom for growth?
- What is the fastest link your switches, servers and storage support?
- How much downtime can you tolerate?
Smaller 10G networks are well served by the Aggregation. Growing sites with mixed 10G and 25G links suit the Hi-Capacity or Pro XG Aggregation. Networks that need 100G uplinks with full hardware redundancy belong on the Enterprise Campus Aggregation.
