Secure every door, keep every exit safe and finish every install

UniFi Door Access Accessories for Every Entrance

A secure entrance takes more than a reader. UniFi Access Readers, Hubs and Intercoms handle authentication and control. This collection supplies everything else a working door needs: the credentials people carry, the locks that hold the door, the exit hardware that lets people out safely, the mounts that give readers and intercoms a clean finish, and the power and cabling that connect it all. Because the whole range is built around UniFi Access, you can plan a single door or an entire building without second-guessing compatibility.

Encrypted NFC Access Cards and Key Fobs

UniFi Access Cards pair MIFARE DESFire EV3 technology with the UniFi Access proprietary security protocol, using multi-layer encryption to resist cloning. They’re standard credit-card size, come in black or white and are available in 10-packs and 100-packs, so it’s easy to issue cards to a small team or an entire campus. For credentials that live on a keyring, the Pocket Keyfob delivers the same DESFire EV3 security in a compact, IP54 weather-resistant casing, sold in packs of 10. Both are NDAA compliant, and each can be assigned to an individual user or visitor in UniFi Access.

Magnetic Locks, Electric Strikes and Bolt Locks

Start with how the door should behave if power is lost. Fail-safe locks release when power is cut, keeping the exit free. Fail-secure locks stay locked, keeping the space protected. The right choice depends on the opening, the National Construction Code (NCC) and local fire safety requirements.

The UniFi Access Magnetic Lock is a fail-safe maglock for inswing and outswing doors. The 270 kg (600 lb) model suits all door types, including full glass. The 540 kg (1,200 lb) model doubles the holding force and suits every door type except full glass. UniFi Electric Locks cover strike and bolt form factors in both fail-safe and fail-secure versions, with standard and narrow strike variants. Every lock connects to a UniFi Access Hub, so each door is managed from UniFi Access.

Request-to-Exit and Emergency Egress Hardware

Secure entry needs safe, simple egress. The Access Button is a push-to-exit (request-to-exit) button designed for UniFi Access Hubs. It gives occupants a one-touch way to release the door from inside. On emergency exits, the Panic Bar provides single-latch, push-to-open egress. The mechanical Door Closer brings the door to a controlled close after every use, so it’s ready to lock again. For extra peace of mind, the Access Rescue KeySwitch adds a keyed emergency override to your Access Hub. It includes two physical keys for backup entry if a lock system ever malfunctions.

Reader and Intercom Mounts, Junction Boxes and Enclosures

Good mounting protects hardware and makes every entrance look professionally finished. The Reader Junction Box gives UniFi Access Readers and Intercom Viewers a tidy base on flat surfaces. The Reader Pro Junction Box does the same for Access Reader Pro models and compatible UniFi doorbells. Both attach to 3/4-inch conduit to keep cabling protected. Where a flat installation isn’t ideal, the Reader Pro Angle Mount sets Pro readers on an angle.

For UniFi Access Intercoms, there are three mounting options:

  • Flush Mount: a recessed, low-profile finish.
  • Surface Angle Mount: for angled surface installs.
  • Wedge Mount: turns the intercom 20 degrees inward for a better camera view of visitors.

Outdoors, the Intercom Sunshield shades the unit from direct sun. At reception, the metal Intercom Viewer Table Stand keeps the viewer upright and within reach. Behind the scenes, the Junction Utility is an indoor/outdoor enclosure that houses Access Hubs, switches and accessories.

Retrofit Power, PoE Extenders and Lock Cable

Upgrading a building with legacy wiring? The PoE Over 2-Wire Retrofit Extender pair carries PoE over existing twisted-pair or coaxial cable. The transmitter takes a PoE++ input, and the receiver delivers PoE/PoE+. Both include 2-wire-to-BNC adaptors for coax runs. That means you can bring UniFi devices to the door without running new Ethernet cable. The Retrofit PSU 12V is a 12 V power supply for the UniFi Retrofit Hub. It supports an optional SLA backup battery to ride through power outages. For new lock wiring, the Door Lock Relay Cable comes on a 152 m (500 ft) reel. It is available in one-pair and two-pair versions for extra-low voltage (ELV) circuits.

How to Choose the Right Access Control Accessories

Not sure where to start? Work through each opening in order:

  1. Choose a lock that suits the door and your fail-safe or fail-secure requirements.
  2. Add a push-to-exit button or panic bar for egress.
  3. Pick cards or key fobs for the people who will use the door.
  4. Finish with the right mount, enclosure and power.

Pair these accessories with UniFi Access Readers, Hubs and Intercoms, and you have a complete access control system that’s secure, simple to manage and clean to install.
