Compact UniFi Cloud Gateways: Enterprise Networking, Desktop Size

A UniFi Cloud Gateway is the brain of a UniFi network. It routes and secures your internet connection and runs the UniFi Network application on board, so there’s no separate controller or Cloud Key to buy. Ubiquiti’s compact range packs that power into a slim 30 mm (1.2 in) desktop chassis. That makes it the simplest way to replace an ISP-supplied router, or to anchor a small business network from a shelf, media cabinet or network closet.

Three Gateways, One Platform

Cloud Gateway Ultra (UCG-Ultra) is the entry point to the range. It pairs a 2.5 GbE WAN port and four 1 GbE LAN ports with 1 Gbps of throughput even with IDS/IPS enabled, a strong match for gigabit internet. It manages 30+ UniFi devices and 300+ clients, load-balances up to four WAN connections, and draws a maximum of just 6.2W.

Cloud Gateway Max (UCG-Max) moves all five ports to 2.5 GbE and raises IDS/IPS throughput to 2.3 Gbps for multi-gig plans. You can order it with an NVMe SSD of up to 2 TB, or add your own later with the M.2 SSD Tray. With the SSD it runs the full UniFi application suite (Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Connect) and records up to 15 HD or five 4K cameras.

Cloud Gateway Fiber (UCG-Fiber) is the flagship, built for multi-gig fiber. It combines 10G SFP+ and 10 GbE RJ45 WAN ports with a second 10G SFP+ port and an integrated four-port 2.5 GbE switch. It also provides 30W of PoE output for a nearby access point or camera. It offers 5 Gbps IDS/IPS routing, support for 50+ UniFi devices and 500+ clients, up to six WAN connections, selectable NVMe storage and the full UniFi application suite. The result is big-network performance from a desktop footprint.

Every compact Cloud Gateway shares the same protection:

• a stateful, application-aware Layer 7 firewall
• zone-based rules that filter by region, domain and app
• deep packet inspection
• content filtering and ad blocking
• intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS)

Put smart-home gear, guests and work devices on separate VLANs. You can then add an optional CyberSecure subscription, powered by Proofpoint, for 55,000+ threat signatures with real-time updates.

Remote Access, VPN and License-Free SD-WAN

Reach your network from anywhere with zero-configuration Teleport VPN, or host your own WireGuard, OpenVPN or L2TP server. Connect homes and offices with license-free Site Magic SD-WAN, or with IPsec and OpenVPN site-to-site tunnels. Multi-WAN load balancing and optional UniFi 5G or LTE backup keep you online when your main ISP isn’t. Built-in internet quality and outage reporting keeps your provider honest.

Simple to Set Up, Easy to Grow

Setup runs over Bluetooth from the UniFi app, and a 0.96-inch status display shows key details at a glance. Add UniFi switches and WiFi access points as your needs grow, then manage the whole network, locally or remotely, from one dashboard. Every model is NDAA compliant.
