Collection: UniFi Bridging WiFi

UniFi wireless bridges extend your network wherever cable can’t reach. Link buildings up to 500 m apart with 60 GHz point-to-point Building Bridges, available in gigabit and 10G SFP+ versions with 5 GHz backup radios. Go the distance with Device Bridge Pro and Pro Sector, built for 5+ km links and multipoint camera deployments. Indoors, Device Bridges give any wired device a wireless uplink to UniFi WiFi, from a pocket-sized IoT model to a WiFi 7 PoE+ switch. Every bridge is managed in UniFi Network alongside your gateways, switches, and access points.

Extend your network across the room, the campus, or 5 km away

Running cable isn’t always an option. Trenching between buildings is costly and disruptive, some walls can’t be opened up, and plenty of devices sit nowhere near a switch port. UniFi WiFi bridging solves that by carrying your network over the air. You can link a detached office or warehouse, reach a camera at the edge of a property, or get a printer or smart TV online in a room with no Ethernet drop.

Every bridge in the collection is managed in UniFi Network, right alongside your gateways, switches, and access points, so extending your network never means adding another system to manage.

60 GHz Building-to-Building Bridges

For high-speed point-to-point links between buildings, the Building Bridge (UBB) uses the 60 GHz band to deliver a 1.7 Gbps max data rate over distances up to 500 m (1,640 ft). The Building Bridge XG (UBB-XG) raises that to 6 Gbps and adds a 10G SFP+ port. That makes it the right choice for multi-gig backbones, camera-heavy sites, and secondary buildings that can’t compromise on speed.

Both models include a 5 GHz backup radio that keeps traffic flowing if the 60 GHz link is disrupted, for example by heavy rain. They’re IPX6-rated for outdoor wall or pole mounting. The 2-pack arrives paired out of the box, so there’s no pairing step on installation day, and single units are available as spares.

Long-Range and Point-to-Multipoint Bridging

When the gap is measured in kilometers, the Device Bridge Pro (UDB-Pro) holds a 5 GHz link at 5+ km (3.1 mi) using a 19 dBi antenna and an 867 Mbps max data rate. Pair two for a dedicated point-to-point link with maximum range, or aim one at a UniFi access point to uplink to your existing WiFi. A second Ethernet port with PoE passthrough can power the device at the far end (PoE+ input required).

To connect many remote locations at once, add the Device Bridge Pro Sector (UDB-Pro-Sector). This 5 GHz point-to-multipoint access point links 50+ Device Bridge Pro clients at distances of 5+ km. It’s ideal for spread-out camera deployments across parking lots, farms, campuses, and perimeter fences, where running cable to every pole isn’t practical. Both models are IPX6-rated and pole-mountable.

Device Bridges: A Wireless Uplink for Wired Devices

Not every connection needs a long-haul link. The Device Bridge (UDB) is a plug-and-play wireless Ethernet bridge that gives any wired device a connection to your UniFi network. Integrated UniFi WiFi Auto-Link connects it to your access points automatically. It also doubles as a PoE adapter that can power the device it bridges. An RP-SMA connector accepts an optional external omni antenna for extra reach.

The Device Bridge IoT (UDB-IoT) brings the same Auto-Link convenience to a 45 g unit designed for sensors, controllers, and other low-bandwidth equipment. It mounts on a wall or DIN rail and runs on USB-C or a 9–30V DC supply, so it fits easily into an equipment cabinet or control panel.

For rooms full of wired gear, the Device Bridge Switch (UDB-Switch) combines a WiFi 7 bridge with an eight-port PoE+ switch. It has one 10 GbE port and seven 2.5 GbE ports, fed by a wireless uplink with a 5.8 Gbps max data rate on 6 GHz. A single unit can bring a conference room, classroom, or AV rack online without new cable runs. It supplies 35W of PoE with the included adapter, or up to 185W with the optional 210W adapter.

How to Choose the Right UniFi Wireless Bridge

  • Linking two buildings up to 500 m apart: Building Bridge, or Building Bridge XG for multi-gig speeds and 10G SFP+.
  • Spanning 5+ km, or connecting many remote sites: Device Bridge Pro for point-to-point links, plus a Device Bridge Pro Sector for point-to-multipoint.
  • Adding a single wired device to your WiFi: Device Bridge.
  • Connecting IoT sensors and controllers: Device Bridge IoT.
  • Bringing a whole room of wired devices online: Device Bridge Switch.

Whichever you choose, you get the reach of new cabling without the cost and disruption of installing it.
