Collection: UniFi Utility Switches

UniFi utility switches put fast, managed ports wherever your network needs to reach, from desks and media cabinets to outdoor poles and industrial control panels. Choose palm-sized Flex Mini models powered by PoE or USB-C, fanless Lite PoE switches for quiet spaces, compact Ultra switches with up to 202W of PoE, multi-gig 2.5G and 10G options, and rugged DIN-rail industrial models. Every switch adopts into the UniFi Network application, so setup, monitoring and firmware updates happen from one dashboard.

UniFi utility switches for every corner of your network

Not every connection starts in a server room. Think of a desk with a workstation, dock and printer, a media cabinet full of streaming boxes and consoles, a camera at the far edge of a property, or a control panel on a factory floor. Running a separate cable back to the main rack for each device is slow and costly. A utility switch solves the problem locally: a small, managed switch placed right beside your devices and linked back to the core over a single uplink.

The UniFi utility range covers that full spread, from 5-port switches that fit in the palm of your hand to DIN-rail models built for industrial enclosures. Every switch adopts into the UniFi Network application, so new ports appear on the same dashboard as your gateway, WiFi and core switching, ready to configure.

Flex Mini and Flex Mini 2.5G: more ports from a single cable run

The Switch Flex Mini is the simplest way to add ports where only one network cable reaches. This compact, 5-port Layer 2 switch can be powered by PoE from an upstream switch or by a USB-C adapter, so it doesn’t need a spare power outlet. For faster devices, the Switch Flex Mini 2.5G offers five 2.5 GbE ports in a compact design that also runs on PoE or USB-C, making it well suited to a workstation, NAS or home office.

Flex and Flex XG: built for reach and speed

The Switch Flex is a 5-port Layer 2 PoE switch built for indoor and outdoor use. It runs on PoE++ and passes power on to downstream devices such as cameras and access points, making it a natural fit for poles, eaves and outbuildings. For extra protection outdoors, house it in the Switch Flex Utility, a weatherproof enclosure made for the Switch Flex, or the Flex Utility Pro, a universal weatherproof enclosure for wall or pole mounting.

When bandwidth matters more than reach, the Switch Flex XG brings 10 GbE speeds to a compact 5-port design, an easy way to connect a 10G workstation or storage server without a full-size switch.

Flex 2.5G and Flex 2.5G PoE: eight multi-gig ports and a 10G uplink

The Switch Flex 2.5G steps up to eight 2.5 GbE ports plus a 10 GbE combination uplink that accepts either RJ45 or SFP+, and it can be powered by USB-C or PoE+. The Switch Flex 2.5G PoE adds PoE++ output with a 196W PoE budget, so it can power multi-gig access points, cameras and other devices directly, while drawing its own power from PoE or an AC adapter.

Ultra, Ultra 60W and Ultra 210W: compact PoE at three power levels

The Switch Ultra family packs 8-port GbE PoE switching into a compact Layer 2 design with versatile mounting options. Pick the version that fits your power needs: the Ultra provides a 42W PoE budget, the Ultra 60W provides 52W, and the Ultra 210W provides 202W for larger groups of cameras, access points and other powered devices.

Lite 8 PoE and Lite 16 PoE: silent, fanless switching

The Switch Lite 8 PoE and Switch Lite 16 PoE use fanless cooling, so they run silently in offices, classrooms, bedrooms and living spaces. Both are Layer 2 PoE switches, and the wall-mountable Lite 16 PoE offers 16 ports for a small office or network cabinet.

Pro 8 PoE and Pro XG 8 PoE: Layer 3 features in a compact frame

The Switch Pro 8 PoE is an 8-port Layer 3 switch with PoE+ and PoE++ output and a 120W PoE budget. The Switch Pro XG 8 PoE goes further, combining eight 10 GbE ports, two 10G SFP+ ports, PoE++ output with a 155W budget and Etherlighting™, which lights up ports so connections are easy to identify at a glance. It can sit on a desk or mount on a wall. Layer 3 support lets both switches route traffic between VLANs locally instead of sending it back to the gateway.

Industrial DIN: rugged switching for control cabinets

The Switch Industrial DIN 8, Industrial DIN 8 PoE and Industrial DIN 2.5G 8 PoE are industrial-grade switches built for DIN-rail mounting in control cabinets and equipment enclosures. Each offers eight ports, dual SFP or SFP+ uplinks and power redundancy for critical installations. The PoE++ models can power cameras, access control hardware and other edge devices directly, and the DIN 2.5G 8 PoE mixes four 2.5 GbE ports with four GbE ports.

How to choose the right utility switch

  • Count your devices, then add headroom. Five ports suit a single desk or media cabinet; eight or 16 cover a room, small office or network cabinet. One port is typically used for the uplink.
  • Match port speed to your devices. GbE handles everyday devices, 2.5 GbE suits multi-gig access points, NAS devices and fast workstations, and 10 GbE serves high-throughput storage and uplinks.
  • Add up your PoE needs. Total the draw of every device you plan to power, then choose a switch whose PoE budget covers it with room to spare. Higher-draw devices may need PoE++.
  • Think about location. Fanless Lite models suit quiet rooms, the Switch Flex and weatherproof enclosures handle outdoor runs, Industrial DIN models fit control cabinets, and Pro models add Layer 3 features.
  • Plan your power source. PoE-powered models such as the Flex Mini and Switch Flex can go where there’s no power outlet.

Managed from one dashboard

Every switch in this collection adopts into the UniFi Network application. From the same interface you use for your gateway and WiFi, you can see what’s connected to each port, assign VLANs, monitor traffic and roll out firmware updates on the web or in the UniFi mobile app. Whether you’re adding one Flex Mini to a desk or deploying switches across several sites, the experience stays the same.
