Collection: UniFi Professional Max & XG Switches

Ubiquiti’s UniFi Pro Max & Pro XG switches are built for networks that have outgrown gigabit. Choose from 10- to 48-port Layer 3 models with 2.5GbE and 10GbE copper, 10G SFP+ or 25G SFP28 uplinks, and PoE budgets of up to 1080W, with up to 90W PoE+++ per port on Pro XG PoE models. Etherlighting™ colour-codes every port by VLAN or link speed, and each switch is managed in UniFi Network. The ideal backbone for WiFi 7, security cameras, AV-over-IP and fast NAS storage.

Multi-gig speed, serious PoE and a rack you can read at a glance

WiFi 7 access points, 4K security cameras, AV-over-IP systems and fast NAS storage all ask more of a switch than gigabit ports and a modest PoE budget can give. Ubiquiti’s UniFi Professional Max & XG collection answers with three families of multi-gig Layer 3 switches (Pro Max, Pro HD and Pro XG). They share one feature set and one management platform, so you can mix and match models as your network grows.

Pro Max: 2.5GbE where it counts

Pro Max pairs 1GbE ports for everyday devices with dedicated 2.5GbE ports for access points, workstations and NAS, plus 10G SFP+ uplinks. Choose 16, 24 or 48 ports, with or without PoE. The PoE models deliver 180W, 400W or 720W, with PoE++ (up to 64W) on selected ports for high-draw devices such as PTZ cameras. The compact Pro Max 16 sits on a desk, mounts on a wall or fits a rack with the optional rack kit. That makes it a natural fit for home offices, small businesses and comms cupboards.

Pro HD: multi-gig on every copper port

The Pro HD 24 puts 2.5GbE on 22 ports and adds two 10GbE RJ45 ports and four 10G SFP+ uplinks. On the PoE model, all 24 copper ports are PoE++ from a 600W budget. It’s a strong choice for dense WiFi 7 deployments, where every access point benefits from multi-gig backhaul.

Pro XG: 10GbE and 25G for the most demanding networks

Pro XG is the flagship of the collection, with 10GbE copper on most ports and 25G SFP28 uplinks on the 24- and 48-port models. The Pro XG 48 PoE combines 32 × 10GbE and 16 × 2.5GbE ports, every one of them PoE+++ at up to 90W. It adds four 25G SFP28 uplinks, 920 Gbps of switching capacity and up to 1080W of PoE. For smaller racks, the Pro XG 10 PoE packs ten 10GbE PoE+++ ports and two 10G SFP+ uplinks into a single rack unit. It suits 10G workstations, video editing suites and next-generation access points.

Etherlighting™: read your rack at a glance

Every switch in the collection features Etherlighting, Ubiquiti’s colour-coded port lighting. Assign colours by VLAN to tell cameras, VoIP and guest networks apart. Or assign them by link speed to spot a device that has negotiated down, without opening a laptop. Need to find one port among 48? Use Locate to light it up. Pair your switch with UniFi Etherlighting patch cables, whose translucent boots let the connector itself light up. A 1.3-inch front touchscreen shows key details right at the rack.

Layer 3 routing and pro-grade control

Every model handles inter-VLAN routing, static routes, and DHCP server and relay duties. Traffic between local networks stays fast without being sent through your gateway. Security and control features include 802.1X authentication, IP- and MAC-based ACLs, DHCP snooping, port isolation, storm control and loop protection. Each switch is adopted and managed in the UniFi Network application alongside your UniFi gateway and access points, with no per-switch licence fees.

Built for Pro AV

Most models include ready-made Pro AV profiles for Dante, Q-SYS, NDI, SDVoE, Shure, AES67 and Crestron, plus advanced IGMP controls. Integrators can roll out audio and video over IP with far less manual tuning.

Power you can rely on

PoE budgets across the collection range from 180W to 1080W. Most rack-mount models also have a DC input for a UniFi redundant power system (RPS), so a power supply fault won’t take your cameras, phones and access points offline.
