The Ubiquiti UACC-Lock-Strike-Safe-8mm is a fail-safe electric strike lock designed for UniFi Access deployments. Ubiquiti describes it as a fail-safe electric strike lock with 8 mm lock slot depth support — a narrow-profile strike that recesses into the door frame of a single wooden or metal door without the bulk of a standard-profile unit.
The lock body measures just 112 × 21 × 28 mm (4.4 × 0.8 × 1.1") and weighs 200 g, making it a practical choice for frames where a standard strike simply will not fit. Despite the compact footprint, it is rated to a 227 kg (500 lb) holding force.
Power requirements are modest: 12V DC ±10% at 200 mA ±10%, drawn through a simple two-conductor lock connection. A separate pair of conductors carries the integrated door position sensor (DPS), a dry contact rated to a maximum of 30V DC and 0.1 A, which reports whether the door is open or closed — open circuit when the door is open, short when it is closed.
Construction is built for the wear a controlled door sees every day. The lock body is zinc alloy, while the front plate and latches are stainless steel. Two front plate sizes are specified — a short 152 × 24.5 × 3 mm plate and a long 250 × 25 × 3 mm plate — so the strike can be matched to the frame cut-out in front of you.
The unit operates from -10 to 60° C (14 to 140° F) at 5 to 90% non-condensing humidity, and stores from -20 to 70° C (-4 to 158° F). It is NDAA compliant and carries FCC, IC and CE certifications.
Key Features and Benefits
- Narrow profile for tight frames — a 21 mm-wide lock body with 8 mm lock slot depth support fits door frames that cannot accommodate a standard-profile strike.
- 227 kg (500 lb) holding force — substantial retention from a compact recess-mounted body.
- Fail-safe operation — the lock type is fail-safe, releasing the strike when power is removed.
- Built-in door position sensing — a dry-contact DPS reports door open and closed status back to your access controller, with no separate sensor to buy, mount or wire.
- Low, simple power draw — 200 mA ±10% at 12V DC ±10% over a four-conductor run (two for the lock, two for the DPS).
- Two front plate lengths specified — short (152 mm) and long (250 mm) plates cover different frame cut-outs.
- Hard-wearing materials — zinc alloy lock body with a stainless steel front plate and latches.
- Broad environmental tolerance — rated -10 to 60° C operating and 5 to 90% non-condensing humidity.
- NDAA compliant — certified to FCC, IC and CE, suitable for procurement environments with NDAA sourcing requirements.
- Single wooden or metal doors — recess mounts directly into the door frame.

| Lock 12V/COM | Black | Lock supply, common |
| DPS/- | White | Door position sensor, negative |
| DPS/+ | Orange | Door position sensor, positive |
