The Ubiquiti UACC-U7-Pro-XG-Wall-Cover is a paintable faceplate designed specifically for the UniFi U7 Pro XG Wall access point. Rather than leaving a white AP standing out against a feature wall, timber panelling or a heritage colour scheme, you can prime and paint this cover to match the surrounding surface — so the hardware disappears and the Wi-Fi 7 performance stays exactly where you put it. Supplied as a single pack, it's a low-cost finishing touch for any installation where aesthetics matter as much as coverage.
Key features
- Paint it to match your walls — accepts paint for a fully customised finish, so the AP blends into virtually any background or interior palette.
- Purpose-built fit — engineered for the UniFi U7 Pro XG Wall, not a universal cover, so it sits flush and keeps the AP's clean lines.
- Discreet by design — ideal for boardrooms, hotel corridors, retail fitouts, galleries, heritage buildings and residential feature walls.
- Lightweight and slim — 80 g and just 37.1 mm deep, adding minimal bulk to the mounted access point.
- Single pack — buy one per AP, or order in volume for multi-AP deployments.
- Genuine Ubiquiti accessory — official UniFi part number UACC-U7-Pro-XG-Wall-Cover.
Let the coverage speak, not the hardware
Access points are usually mounted exactly where they're least convenient visually — eye level in a meeting room, mid-wall in a corridor, above the reception desk. The UniFi U7 Pro XG Wall paintable cover solves that problem the simple way: give the installer a surface that takes paint, and the AP takes on the colour of whatever it's mounted to.
That makes it a natural fit for interior-sensitive projects — hospitality, healthcare, retail, education, commercial fitouts, and high-end residential — where a designer has signed off on a colour scheme and a bright white box on the wall isn't part of it.
Designed around the U7 Pro XG Wall
This is a model-specific accessory. It's shaped for the UniFi U7 Pro XG Wall — Ubiquiti's wall-mounted, 6-stream Wi-Fi 7 access point with a 10 GbE PoE+ uplink — and mounts over the front of the unit once the AP is installed on its bracket.
Because the cover is matched to that chassis, you keep the intended fit and finish: no oversized shroud, no visible gaps, no third-party workaround. Follow the official Ubiquiti installation guide for fitting instructions.
Painting tips for a professional finish
Prep before you paint
Paint the cover off the wall, before the AP goes in. Clean the surface, use a plastic-suitable primer, and build up thin, even coats rather than one heavy one. Let each coat cure fully.
Avoid metallic and metal-flake paints
This one matters technically, not just cosmetically. Paints containing metallic pigment, metal flake or conductive additives can attenuate RF signal and degrade wireless performance. Stick to standard water-based or acrylic interior paints in the colour you need.
Keep it thin
Multiple heavy coats can affect fit and add unnecessary material in front of the antennas. Two to three light coats will match a wall colour without over-building the surface.
Match the sheen, not just the colour
Getting the paint code right is only half of it. Matching the finish — matte, eggshell, satin — is what makes the cover genuinely disappear against the wall.
Where installers use it
- Corporate offices and boardrooms — APs on feature walls or painted plasterboard.
- Hotels and short-stay accommodation — corridors and guest rooms where fitout consistency is contractual.
- Retail and hospitality — branded interiors with specific colour schemes.
- Healthcare and aged care — calm, low-visual-clutter environments.
- Galleries, museums and heritage sites — minimal visual intrusion on protected interiors.
- Premium residential — media rooms, hallways and living spaces where the AP shouldn't be the focal point.
