UniFi Swing 12U Rack Cabinet with Glass Front Door

The UACC-Rack-12U-Wall-SW-G is Ubiquiti's swing-frame 12U wall-mount cabinet: a fully assembled, lockable steel enclosure that lifts an entire UniFi stack off the floor and onto the wall. Its two-section body hinges away from the wall, so the back of every switch, gateway and patch panel stays within arm's reach long after the install is signed off — no unmounting, no dismantling, no crawling behind a fixed box. A tempered glass front door keeps status LEDs visible at a glance, while two factory-fitted 120 mm fans, four-point locking and 80 kg of load capacity make it equally at home in an office comms room, a retail back-of-house, a school MDF or a well-specified home lab.

Why installers choose the swing cabinet

Swing-out design that keeps working after day one

Most wall cabinets solve the installation problem and create a maintenance problem: once the enclosure is bolted flat to the wall and populated, the rear of your equipment is effectively gone. The swing configuration is the fix. The 12U rack section is hinged to a wall-mounted rear frame, so releasing the lock lets the whole body pivot forward and expose the back of every mounted device. Re-patching a port, tracing a run or swapping a power lead becomes a two-minute job instead of a de-installation.

The solid rear door and two solid side panels are removable and individually lockable, giving you clear working access from whichever side the wall and cable path allow.

Cooling, cable entry and clean cable management

Two AC fan units come pre-installed in the top of the cabinet, drawing warm air away from the equipment stack — worth having in enclosed cabinets where a gateway, PoE switch and NVR share a small volume of air.

Cable entry is generous and pre-planned, so runs enter where you need them rather than where the sheet metal allows:

• Rear wall: one 350 × 100 mm opening.
• Top: two 235 × 62 mm openings, plus four 35 mm knockouts.
• Bottom: one 235 × 62 mm opening, plus four 35 mm knockouts.

Factory-fitted grounding lugs let you bond the cabinet properly as part of the install.

Adjustable depth for real-world equipment

The four-post frame uses square mounting holes and adjusts from a default depth of 434 mm (17.1") out to 559 mm (22"), in 25 mm increments. That covers shallow UniFi switches and gateways as well as deeper NVRs, rack UPS units and server-depth appliances — set the posts once during install and the same cabinet handles a mixed stack.

Twelve rack units is enough for a typical small-site or single-floor deployment. A representative build:

Glass door or perforated door?

The -G suffix on this SKU is the tempered glass front door — the right call when the cabinet is visible, when you want to read device screens and LEDs without unlocking, and when the room is climate-controlled. If the cabinet sits in a hotter or dustier space, or you'd rather have passive airflow through the front face, the UACC-Rack-12U-Wall-SW-P is the same cabinet with a perforated steel door.

Both swing models share the same 12U frame, fans, locks and 80 kg capacity.
