Can the Retrofit Reader connect to third-party access controllers?
No. The Retrofit Reader only works with the Retrofit Hub.
How do I connect the Retrofit Reader to the Retrofit Hub?
Connect the Retrofit Reader with the provided RS-485 wiring instructions. It must be connected directly to the designated ports on the Retrofit Hub.
Does the Retrofit Reader support daisy-chain connections?
Yes. You can daisy-chain up to two Retrofit Readers per door.
Please note that daisy-chaining is only available for UniFi Retrofit Readers. Wiegand readers are not supported.
