Omnidirectional dual-band antenna accessory built specifically for the UniFi Swiss Army Knife Ultra. Delivers a clean 360° radiation pattern across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with an IPX6-rated weatherproof body rated for fully exposed outdoor installs.
Key features
- High-efficiency omnidirectional radiation pattern for even 360° horizontal coverage.
- Dual-band tuned — 4 dBi at 5 GHz, 3 dBi at 2.4 GHz.
- IPX6 weatherproof rating, suitable for outdoor exposed mounting.
- Direct RP-SMA fit to the Swiss Army Knife Ultra's external antenna connectors.
- Slim 154 mm profile that keeps the AP's compact footprint intact.
- Zero configuration — no controller changes, no firmware, no power required.
Extend your Swiss Army Knife Ultra coverage in every direction
The UniFi Swiss Army Knife Ultra (UK-Ultra) ships with a capable internal antenna, but its two RP-SMA connectors exist for a reason: some sites need coverage shaped differently than a compact indoor AP can provide on its own. The UACC-UK-Ultra-Omni-Antenna-AO is Ubiquiti's own omnidirectional answer.
Screw the pair onto your UK-Ultra and the AP radiates evenly through 360° of horizontal plane. That's the pattern you want when the access point sits in the middle of the area it serves — a pole in a car park, a mast between two sheds, a courtyard, a marina berth, a caravan park, or an open-plan warehouse aisle. Instead of a coverage lobe that favours one face of the enclosure, you get a doughnut-shaped pattern that treats every bearing the same.
Because the antennas are tuned across both bands, you keep the full dual-band behaviour of the AP. Clients on 2.4 GHz get the reach they need for distance and penetration; 5 GHz clients get the throughput. There's no band trade-off and no separate SKU to buy per radio.
Built for outdoor exposure
The antenna body carries an IPX6 weatherproofing rating, matching the UK-Ultra itself. That means it's engineered to shrug off powerful water jets from any direction — rain, wind-driven spray, and the general abuse of a rooftop or fence-line install.
Construction is a multi-polymer build (thermoplastic polyester elastomer, polycarbonate, polybutylene terephthalate and polyoxymethylene) chosen for flexibility at the joint and UV-resilient rigidity through the radome. At 154 × 15 × 15 mm and just 42 g for the pair, they add almost nothing to wind load or mounting stress on the host AP.
Omnidirectional or directional — which do you need?
Ubiquiti offers the Swiss Army Knife antenna accessory in two patterns. Choosing correctly matters more than chasing a gain figure.
Choose the Omni Antenna (this product) when:
- The AP is centrally located and clients are all around it.
- You're covering an open area — yard, forecourt, deck, paddock, storage compound.
- Clients move around the AP and you want consistent signal on every bearing.
- You're running a multi-AP mesh and need each node to talk in several directions.
Choose the Directional Antenna instead when:
- You're pushing signal down a single corridor or across a specific span.
- You need to link the AP to a distant building, shed, camera cluster or outbuilding.
- You want to suppress coverage behind the AP for interference or security reasons.
Many installers keep both on the van. At this price point, having a pair of each is cheap insurance against a site that doesn't match the survey.
Installation takes under a minute
There's no configuration step. The antennas are passive — no power, no cabling, no firmware, and nothing to adopt in UniFi Network.
- Power down or unmount the UK-Ultra for easier access.
- Remove the protective caps from the two RP-SMA connectors on the AP.
- Thread each antenna on and hand-tighten the knurled collar. Don't use tools.
- Orient both antennas vertically. Vertical alignment is what produces the horizontal 360° pattern — angled or horizontal antennas will skew your coverage.
- Remount and repower.
For pole and mast installs, keep the antennas clear of the pole body itself where possible. Metalwork immediately alongside a vertical omni will distort the pattern on that bearing.
Compatibility
Designed and sold specifically as an accessory for the UniFi Swiss Army Knife Ultra (UK-Ultra / UK-Ultra-US), which provides two RP-SMA connectors for external antennas.
The RP-SMA interface is a common standard, so the antennas will physically mate with other RP-SMA equipment. Performance outside the UK-Ultra is unvalidated by Ubiquiti, and regulatory certification for a given AP is granted against a specific antenna configuration — check your local rules before mixing vendors.
