The Ubiquiti UACC-WP-Keystone is a universal keystone wall plate with a paintable snap-on cover, so your network outlets disappear into the wall instead of standing out against it. Each pack contains four plates with a polycarbonate face and an SGCC steel gang-box mount. Choose horizontal or vertical orientation in 1-port, 2-port or 4-port layouts.

A wall plate that disappears

Most structured cabling work is invisible by the time it's finished — except for the last 100 mm. A stark white faceplate on a warm grey wall is the one part of an otherwise tidy install that clients actually notice.

The UniFi Universal Paintable Keystone Wall Plate solves that at the outlet. The outer cover is designed to take paint, so it can be rolled in the same colour as the surrounding wall during finishing, or matched afterwards with a sample pot. The cover clips over the mounting frame, hiding the screws entirely and leaving a clean, unbroken rectangle on the wall.

Built to hold its shape

Behind the cover, the plate mounts on an SGCC steel bracket rather than plastic. Steel matters more than it sounds like it should: keystone inserts snap in under tension, and a plastic frame carrying four loaded RJ45 jacks and four stiff Cat6A cables will eventually bow. The steel mount stays square, which keeps the cover sitting flush and the ports aligned.

The visible parts are polycarbonate — the same impact-resistant material Ubiquiti uses across its UniFi enclosures, and a good substrate for paint.

Any keystone, any application

This is a genuine universal-format plate. Any module built to the standard keystone footprint snaps in and locks, regardless of brand:

• Data — RJ45 Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A jacks and pass-through couplers.
• AV — HDMI, DisplayPort, 3.5 mm, RCA, speaker binding posts.
• RF and telecoms — F-type coax, RJ11/RJ12 voice.
• Fibre — LC and SC couplers.
• Blanks — fill unused ports on a partially populated plate.

That flexibility is the point of the keystone standard. A 4-port plate can carry two data drops, an HDMI feed and a coax return, and be reconfigured later by popping out one insert and pushing in another.

Six layouts for real installations

Orientation isn't just cosmetic. Vertical (portrait) plates suit narrow stud bays, skirting-level outlets and tight spaces beside door frames. Horizontal (landscape) plates give you more room for cable dressing behind the plate and read better on wider runs — most desk-height and TV-wall outlets.

Port count follows the drop:

• 1-port — single data outlet at a desk, camera or access point location.
• 2-port — the standard structured cabling drop, giving one active and one spare.
• 4-port — media walls, meeting rooms and consolidation points where data, voice and AV land together.

Straightforward to install

The plate mounts to a standard back box or low-voltage mud ring with the supplied hardware. Terminate your cable into the keystone module, snap the module into the frame from behind, screw the frame to the box, then clip on the cover. There's no punch-down required if you're using Ubiquiti's toolless Cat6 or Cat6A keystone jacks.

Paint tip: paint the cover off the wall, before final assembly. Light-scuff with fine abrasive, use a water-based acrylic, and build two thin coats rather than one heavy one — thick paint will foul the clip tolerances and stop the cover seating flush.

Where it fits

Residential fit-outs and new builds, apartment and hospitality rooms, offices, classrooms, medical suites, boardrooms, retail — anywhere the outlet is in a visible, finished space and a generic white faceplate would break the line of the wall.
