UniFi AI Multi Sensor 4 Camera

The Ubiquiti UVC-AI-MS-4 UniFi AI Multi Sensor 4 replaces up to four separate cameras with a single ceiling-mounted unit. Each of its four 8MP lenses pivots and rotates independently, so you can point one down an aisle, one at a gate, one across a car park and one at a doorway — all from one mounting point, one network drop and one PoE++ port. Combined, they deliver 32MP of 4K-class coverage into UniFi Protect, with a Multi-TOPS AI engine handling detection on the camera itself rather than pushing the load back to your NVR.

For sites where cabling is expensive or disruptive — heritage buildings, high ceilings, warehouse rafters, forecourts and intersections — the maths is simple: one run instead of four.

32MP total resolution across four independent 8MP sensors

Four 1/2.8" 8MP sensors each record 3840 × 2160 (16:9) at up to 24 FPS. Every lens is a full 4K-class stream in its own right, so you get evidentiary detail on each angle instead of a stitched panorama that softens at the seams.

Independently adjustable lenses with 2.33× optical zoom

Each lens module articulates separately and offers 2.33× optical zoom (F 3.18–7.42 mm, ƒ/1.8–ƒ/2.8). Field of view ranges from 108.8° horizontal at the wide end to 42.8° at full tele — meaning one lens can cover a broad forecourt while its neighbour zooms tight on a till, entry or number plate.

On-board AI: licence plate recognition, face recognition and smart detection

A Multi-TOPS AI engine built on a dual-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor runs licence plate recognition, face recognition and smart detections for people, vehicles and animals directly on the camera. Alerts arrive filtered and classified in UniFi Protect, cutting false triggers from foliage, weather and headlights.

360° infrared coverage to 20 m

Sixteen IR LEDs with adaptive control ring the housing, delivering infrared illumination across the full 360° footprint out to 20 m (65 ft). Combined with HDR, 2D/3D noise reduction and per-lens exposure control, each sensor adapts to its own lighting conditions — useful when one lens faces a floodlit entry and another faces a dark laneway.

Built for outdoor and industrial sites

An aluminium alloy and polycarbonate enclosure rated IP66 and IK10 handles driving rain, dust and deliberate impact. Operating range is −20 °C to 50 °C at up to 90% non-condensing humidity.

Redundant on-camera storage

Two microSD slots and one M.2 2280 SATA SSD slot allow local recording at the edge, so footage survives a network outage or a compromised NVR.

Single PoE++ drop

The camera draws a maximum of 34.6 W over its Gigabit RJ45 port and requires a PoE++ (802.3bt) source — one cable carries power and all four streams. Note this when specifying switches: standard PoE and PoE+ ports will not run this camera.

NDAA compliant

Certified CE, FCC and IC, and NDAA compliant — suitable for government, defence-adjacent, education and enterprise procurement.
